2023 Pan American Games

So far this week conditions have been VERY challenging! Air and sea temps are cold and the waves/swell has been HUGE! Racing has been very tight within the Fleet. As of today (Nov 2), eight of ten races have been sailed in the Opening Series. Team USA has been sailing strong and leads with 10 points. Team CHI sits in second with 17 points and Team CAN in third with 19 points. Team AGR is close behind with 21 points and ECU and PER are neck and neck for 5th with 37 and 38 points respectively. See the Full Results
You can watch the replay's of each race on Trac Trac Pan Am Event Page.

The final two races of Opening Series will be LIVE on Trac Trac tomorrow (Friday, Nov 3rd) Check here Notice Board  in the morning for an anticipated start time. The top 5 teams advance to Saturday's Medal Race, where points count double and you can't drop a medal race score.

Message from the President:  David Starck
A message from the President was posted October 28th. David talks about the Pan Am Games and also introduces several new initiatives to grow the class... We are forming a Marketing Committee to create a 5-10 year roadmap, a New/Used Boat Committee to help align buyers and sellers, and a U30 Committee to attract a new generation to the class. We may even host our very first U30 Invitational in 2024! As you follow the PAG racing and think about your personal involvement with the class, we could use your help on these new committees being formed.

District Commodores, Vice Presidents and the Executive committee met via Zoom and with meeting proxies submitted a quorum was achieved.

This Amendment takes affect immediately.

The Classic Boat Group is having a contest!
All are invited to participate!

One of the recurrent questions we get is for help putting up and taking down the mast.   As a few of us are "beginning" to show signs of age this is becoming a larger challenge.   So lets have a design contest!
Contest Image
The mission is to come up with a design for tool(s) to help us step and take down our masts.

Real engineers, pretend engineers, or Rube Goldberg wannabe's.   This is for fun (there will be a prize for the winner).  And we are trying to solve a real life challenge for many of us.  So scratch your heads and come up with an idea or two.
