Recently in the Lightning Class

May 24-25 - Laura Pesola podiums again at Kotka Ranking 2 in Helsinki, Finland. Laura took home 1st place with Saara Kuisma and Tiina Saavalainen. Kimmo Aromaa, Mika Aromaa, and Pekka Bollstrom finished second and Matti Aalto, Tom Wendt, and Risto Pesola finished third. Finland is worlds ready!

May 24-25 - This weekend called for sailing with a po boys and a side of beingets! Team Baxter won the Southern Districts / Juby Wynne One Design Regatta at Southern Yacht Club in New Orleans, LA with 4 points. Lawrence Frost followed closely in second with 5 points and Robert Bernhardt finished third with 7 points. Great sailing by all!

May 17-18 - Along with the arrival of new boats from Australia, 6 boats raced in the Kotka Ranking in Finland. After 6 races, Sakari Pesola, Saara Kuisma, and Arttu Tolvanen won the weekend. Laura Pesola, Laura Bjork, and Tiina Saavalainen finished second. Henry Elfving, Esa Pukki, and Anton Ahanen finished third.

May 17-18 - Great turn out at the Southeastern District Championship at Wrightville Beach. 20+ boats in attendence, including two boat grant teams. Team Diaz took first with 14 points, Team Harris finished close in second with 15 points, and Boat Grant Team Stordahl finished in third with 17 points.

May 17-18 - The 40th Annual Spring Classic at Pymatuning was filled with weather, wind, unforgettable memories, and five great races. David Starck, Jenna Probst, and Katherine Starck took first with 10 points. Finishing closely behind, with 11 points, was George Sipel, Jeff Hagman, and Chris Snyder. Tanner Probst, Jamie Starck, and Dylan Farrell finished third with 19 points.
