2022 Lightning Boat Grant

Emma Hawko’s has been sailing Lightnings for over 10 years. Her goal, learn how to run a campaign and race as a boat owner. The Boat Grant program made it possible. Pairing up with Charlie Morris and Calvin Lamosse from UVM, they look forward to sailing in as many events as possible while learning from the Lightning class legends. Sailing primarily in the North East, the will be mentored by Boat Grant Alumni (2008), Justin Coplan.

“Part of why I applied for the grant was to introduce new people to the Lightning” says Emma. With her impressive schedule, she is bound to hook many new class members!
