Notice of Meetings
The next Governing Board Meeting will be held Saturday, August 1, 2020 at 0930 Eastern Time via a Virtual Meeting using the ZOOM Platform. District Commodores, Vice Presidents and the Executive committee will all receive and invitation link via email.
One item will be voted on at the meeting. A temporary amendment to the Document Governing All Lightning Class Sanctioned Championships.
Due to the postponement of the 2020 Youth Worlds to 2021, many of the sailors who had committed to attending the event in 2020 will be over the age limit in 2021 according to the current ILCA Document Governing All Sanctioned Lightning Class Championships. In order to maximize participation and talent and maintain a positive relationship with these competitors, this temporary amendment is proposed.
The Annual Meeting of Members will be held Saturday, August 8, 2020 at 0930 Eastern Time via a Virtual Meeting using the ZOOM Platform. A meeting invitation will be sent to all members prior to the meeting.
One item will be voted on at the meeting - the 2020-2021 Slate of Officers.

If you would like to be added to the agenda or if you have something to share during either meeting, please send a request or short written report to Class Secretary Jeffers office@lightningclass.org or contact Class President Hugh Hutchison at president@lightningclass.org by Monday, July 27th.
Electronic ballots will be emailed out to respective participants according to the Class Rules.
Please note that Personal and Fleet Dues must be current in order to vote.
