It is with sadness we share the news of Fleet 85 member and former Lightning Class President, Martin J. O’Meara Jr. who passed recently at age 90.  He was President back in 1963 and had a storied history with Ted Turner. He was instrumental in buying the 12 meter Courageous for Turner’s syndicate for the 1977 Cup defense.
