Per the Document Governing All Sanctioned Class Lightning Championships, the Executive Committee has approved a 1:1 quota for the 2019 North American Championship to be held at the Buffalo Canoe Club, August 10-16. 

Each US and Canadian entry shall qualify for participation in the NAC by registering in their respective District Championship Regatta.

Skippers that are shipping or chartering a boat in Finland for the World Championship in June and have a conflict with participating in their District Championship because of the Worlds please contact Class Secretary, Laura Jeffers. office@lightningclass.org
