July 21 - Watch Fleet 430 and Ocean City YC promote their Friday night sailing series. Read the latest News Blog Post. This is a fun piece where the local news anchor goes out sailing on a Lightning! Nice job promoting sailing in a Lightning!
July 19-20 -Team Healy (Bill, Caroline, and Kristin) took first place at the Atlantic Coast Championship this weekend with 10 points! Team Patstrong, David Starck, Jason Lutz, and Timmy Crann, finished second with 14 points. In third place with 15 points was Boat Grant recipient Will Murray sailing with Tanner Probst and Molly O'Connor. Timmy (without his tiny mics) interviewed some family boats at the regatta! Watch those here!
July 19-20 - Lots of U32 action at the Charleston Yacht Club Open Regatta! Will Rucker, sailing with Jamie Ewing and Granger Osborne, finished first with 7 points. Boat Grant recipients Garret Grenauer and Noelle Owens finished second, with 10 points, sailing with Lawson Levine. Ryan Hamm and team finished 3rd with 16 points.
July 16 -Women's, Junior and Masters' President's Challenge! Read the latest Blog post from Class President Dave Starck. Get or encourage a team(s) to REGISTER today! Late fee kick's in July 21.
July 12-13 - Great turn out at the 2025 Lake Erie District Championship at the Buffalo Canoe Club! Many junior sailors and boat grant recipients did a fantastic job. Congratulations to David Starck, Timmy Crann, and Jason Lutz for finishing first. 2025 Boat Grant Team, Will Murray, Heather Kerns, and Tess Weber finished in second. July 12-13 - South Shore Yacht Club held a Lightning & VX Regatta with 8 boats on the line. Tom Peterson, Mike Balckwood, and Amy Simonsen finished in first with 6 points, winning all races but 1! Craig Pomeroy, Erika Carne, and Liv Lampone finished in second with 12 points. Close behind in third was Peter Orlebeke, Kim Orlebeke, and Kayley Orlebeke with 13 points.
